2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog (Holiday), Have A Hoot, Seasonal - Winter, Tags, Bags and More!

Have a Hoot Mini Christmas Cards

They say good things come in small packages….and that is so true with the cute little cards I am going to share with you today. These 3″ x 3″ mini cards are perfect to dropping into a small gift or treat bag, attaching to a present….or just put them in one of Stampin’ Up!’s 3 1/8″ x 3 1//8″ Clear Acetate Card Boxes and they can be a present all by themselves! But lets take a closer look at these cute little cards.  They are so simple to make, that you will have them done in a jiffy.  Just stamp, color and assemble!  The stamp set I used is called Have a Hoot and has images for both Halloween and Christmas.  There is also a matching die set called Peek-a-Hoot that has a die that will cut 3 tags at the same time! But that is a project for another day! You can also check out the other cards I made with these stamps here: Have a Hoot Halloween Frame Card and here: Eeek! Have a Hoot for Halloween! and here: Clear Mini Halloween Treat Boxes .  You could easily switch out the Halloween Owls for the Christmas Owls on any of those projects….and maybe switch up the papers to something more “Christmas-y”. Here are a few close-ups of the cards.  I stamped the images on a piece of 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Whisper White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  I added a little bit of a blue background by using a sponge dauber and my Balmy Blue ink pad.  I tapped the sponge dauber on the ink pad and rubbed off a little bit on a scrap piece of paper and then very lightly went around the images.  I used Dimensionals to attach those piece to the background mats  cut from the Trimming the Town Designers Series papers. They are just too cute for words!  If you would like to make these, get your supplies ready!;

If you want your cards to be a little extra special, then decorate the envelope flaps to match your cards!  You will need a piece of matching Designer Series Paper cut 3 1/4″  x  1 3/4″.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the paper to the envelope flap and use your Paper Snips to cut off the excess. Hope you enjoyed this simple project! Happy Stamping! Patricia
