Note Card Holder – Poinsettia Box

If you saw yesterday’s post, then you know I promised to show you the box that I made (or rather decorated) for my set of 4 Poinsettia Note Cards.  If you missed it, you can see it here: The Gift of Cards – Poinsettias.  And this is the box that you can use when giving them as a gift. 0CA73D58-2396-4D42-B2C2-F436C49E305B This is one of the new items that is in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog called Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes.  These boxes look just like the boxes that the Paper Pumpkin kits come in…except they are white.  The box measures 5 7/8″ x 4″ x 1″ and they are the perfect size to put in a set of  four Note Cards and Envelopes. PP Poinsettia Box #3 I created a belly band to go around the box from Real Red Cardstock and the a piece of the Poinsettia Place Designer Series paper.  I adhered both pieces together and then scored the piece at 2″, 3 1/8″, 10″ and 11 1/8″.  I used Tear & Tape to adhere the two pieces together.  You could also use Stampin’ Seal Plus.  The Belly Band will slide off and on the box, so you want to use an adhesive that adheres really well. PP Poinsettia Box #2 The Poinsettia flower on the front uses all the Poinsettia die cuts from the what else, but the Poinsettia Dies.  There are two dies for each size petal – one that cuts the outside shape and the other that embosses the petals.  I gently folded each petal of the flower using the center “vein” of the petal as a guide.  This gives the flower a little dimension and makes it seem more real. 14063A63-D176-41C0-BE84-CD3B15CB6165 The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are very versatile as they are also food safe.  The inside of the box is coated, so although I filled this box with Note Cards, you can also fill this box with homemade goodies like cookies or fudge.  It’s perfect for gift giving!  And it’s a great bargain…you get 10 boxes in a package for only $7.50! If you’d like to make this Belly Band to decorate your boxes before you fill them with cards or treats to give to friends and neighbors, these are the supplies you will need:
  • Mini Paper Pumpkin Box
  • Poinsettia Dies
