Earlier this week I shared a card made with the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder in beachy colors of Pool Party and Crumb Cake. You can see that card here. Today’s card is beachy, but the colors of Petal Pink with a little bit of Soft Sea Foam are more like the pink inside a conch shell you might find on the beach.
I used pretty papers from two different packages of Designer Series Paper. I started with a Basic White Thick Cardstock base, then added a layer of Petal Pink Cardstock. The Designer Series Paper on the Petal Pink Cardstock might seem a bit unusual as it is a piece from the Hello Irresistible set of papers. Most of the papers have flowers and leaves, but this piece (the one on the bottom left side) reminded me of what you might see in the ocean floor – seaweed, bubbles, etc.
For the Sand Dollar, I used the a piece of Basic White Cardstock and stamped the smaller of the two Sand Dollars in Soft Seafoam Ink. I then lined up the die on the sand dollar and secured with a small piece of Mint Tape. Then I placed the die inside the Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine where it both die cut and embossed at the same time. A real time saver! It might be helpful to watch the video below to see the process. It’s easier than it sounds.
This is the Seaside Stamp Set and the dies and Hybrid Embossing Folder. I also stamped one small starfish in Soft Sea Foam ink.
I also die cut a small starfish out of Very Vanilla cardstock and stuck that paper inside the embossing folder around the outside so it would add a little texture.
The circle is cut from the Stylish Shapes dies. I used Pecan Pie ink to stamp the rocks across the bottom and Soft Sea Foam ink for the sentiment. And added a little bow made from a strand pulled from a piece of the Natural Polka Dot trim.

- Basic White Thick Cardstock – Cut 4 ¼” x 11, Score and fold at 5 ½”
- Petal Pink Cardstock – Cut 4” x 5 ¼”, Cut 1 ¾” x 5 ¼” , Cut 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” (Lg detailed)
- Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 ⅞” x 5 ⅛”
- Country Lace Designer Series Paper – Cut 1 ⅝” x 5 ⅛”
- Basic White Cardstock –Cut 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” (circle), Cut 2 x 2” (small sand dollar), Cut 4” x 5 ¼” and Cut 2 pieces 1 ½” x 1 ½” (stamp/cut 2 star fish, emboss 1 starfish)
- Ink: Soft Sea Foam, Pecan Pie
- 1-2 strands of Polka Dot Trim (Alternate -Linen thread)
- Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
- Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer Paper Snips, Bone Folder
