I don’t know why, but whenever I look at this card, I always think of the expression “Bluebird of Happiness”. And since today is Wednesday, maybe this happy little bluebird will help you get over the Wednesday “hump” and put you on the downhill slide towards the week-end.
This card features the Sweet Songbirds Bundle which includes the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set and the Songbird Builder Punch. You’ll want to purchase these as a bundle so that you can save !0%!
I do want to point out two things that will help you get your bird put together correctly. If you look at the punch and the accompanying little bird, it makes it easy to figure out. The “teardrop” shaped stamp (to the left of the two bird feet on the stamp set is the wing of the bird. The larger shape to the right of the two bird feet is the “breast” of the bird…..so you can easily change the underside belly of the bird to any color. I’ve seen several cards by other demonstrators and they are using the “breast piece” for the bird’s wing, but it’s actualy a bit big for that. The wing fits on both sizes of the bird, but the smaller bird also has a smaller “breast stamp. (You can see that underneath the smaller bird on the stamp set. Also th rectangle and the vertical line next to it are used to make a hanging sign (as in you could hang a sign from the branch and stamp one of the sentiments on it.
I thought the new Starry Night In-Color ink would be the perfect blue for my bird, so I paired it with another of the new blue colors Orchid Oasis from the new 2022-2024 In-Color Designer Series Paper, I used the piece with the little flowers as I thought it went nicely with the stamped flowers on the fiont of my card.
I like to sing, so I loved that I could stamp a few musical notes on my card so it really was a ” little note” of thanks.
