Seasonal - Winter, Snowbody Better

Snowbody Better…One More Time

I was looking through my stash of Designer Series Paper to see what I haven’t really used….or need to use soon!  This paper, the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper caught my eye (along with another set of paper I have barely used…but I’m saving that for next week!).  This set of papers is done is all shades of Gray.  You can use it to make more “elegant” cards like this  Pocket Card Fun Fold Or something more fun like this!

If you’ve been reading my last two blog posts, you’ll have figured out the theme this week is Snowmen and in particular this stamp set – Snowbody Better.  When I saw the snowflake paper (top row, second from the left) in this set of papers, I knew that it needed to be used as the background for a snowman card.

I decided to add just one color – Poppy Parade (well, two if you count the carrot noses) to the shades of gray and white.  Initially I was only going to color in the scarves and hats in the stamped image with a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker.

But then I decided to add a little at round the card….and then I decided to add a little more with a scalloped circle around the sentiment.  And then I remembered that I had some retired Poppy Parade ribbon…and well….it was ribbon and I love my ribbon, so had to add that too!

and I even snuck a little bit of Poppy Parade Cardstock into the inside of the card.

If you would like to make this card, you will need the following supplies:

  • Snowbody Better Stamp Set
  • Layering Circles Dies
  • Basic Gray Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″; Score and fold at 5 1/2″
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”, also Cut 4″ x 1/2″, plus a scrap for a 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle
  • Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″, and a strip cut 4″ x 1/2″
  • Basic White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”, plus a scrap for 1 1/2″ Circle and a piece for the stamped snowmen image (about 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″)
  • Ink: Basic Gray
  • Stampin’ Blends Markers: Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate and Pale Papaya

  • Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon (retired)
  • Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Seal, Dimensionals
