Happy Monday! Last week I shared with you a fast card – Beauty of the Earth in 5 Minutes and this week I’m back with the second set of cards that are still quick and easy, but have just a tad more added to the cards. Just for a reminder, these are the first two cards:
and here are the slightly altered cards – Numbers 3 and 4:
For these two cards, I changed the base cardstock to Gray Granite on the left and Basic Gray on the right. I matted each of the Designer Series Paper pieces with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
I also changed the sentiment. On the first card on the left, I used Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the sentiment directly onto the Designer Series Paper, like on the first two cards.
For the card on the right, I decided to stamp the sentiment on a piece of Basic White Cardstock that was die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies. I then adhered that piece onto a mat of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and used dimensionals to adhere it to the card front.
I also added a sentiment on the inside of the card. (and I realized looking at the pictures below that I forgot to the put the 4″ x 1/2″ strip of Designer Series Paper on the inside!)
And finally, I changed out the twine for a little more substantial ribbon and bow by using a piece of the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon.
If you’d like to try these two versions of the card, you will need these supplies
- Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set
- Rectangle Stitched Dies
- Gray Granite (or Basic Gray) Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″; Score and fold at 5 1/2″

These cards are for the casual stamper….a little more than a beginner, but quite as stepped up as the two cards coming up next in this series – Cards #5 and #6. Stay tuned!
