How many times have you needed a card on the spur on the moment and thought….”I don’t have time to make one”. Well now you do! The card I am going to share with you today is not only quick and easy, it’s very versatile. Just by changing the one stamped image and sentiment, you can make this card for any occasion. 
I used the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and the coordinating Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. These papers (are now on sale! details below) are so beautiful with soft colors and floral patterns on one side and simple stripes, dots, small flowers and leaves on the other. Even a simple striped patterned paper like the one I used in this card can make a pretty card.
The stamp set, Hand-Penned Petals is a two-step stamp set. You can stamp the outline of the flowers with one stamp and then fill in the flowers and leaves with the other choosing any color ink you would like.
I chose the new Polished Pink ink for my flowers and kept the leaves the same Just Jade color as my cardstock. And do not worry that your inked flowers or leaves aren’t exactly filling in the entire outline. It is supposed to look this way….a little artsy! The one time you don’t have to “color” within the lines!
I got so carried away with showing you the beautiful papers and stamp set, that I forgot to show you the Fun Fold! You might have noticed in the first picture that the card is standing up due to a little “tent” card on the side. This flap opens up….giving you a place to write your own message inside!
The card is actually two pieces – the back of the card is a piece of Just Jade Cardstock cut 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, and the front flap is a piece cut 8 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ and scored at 4 1/4″, then attached to the front. But you’ll also notice there is a Basic White piece attached to the card base. You can attach a plain piece, but I chose to emboss that piece with the new Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.
It gives the card just a little more texture. I really love the look of these embossed flowers on this card. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a really good picture that shows off the embossing! So you will just have to trust me on this one!

- Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set
- Layering Circles Dies
- Just Jade Cardstock
- Cut 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (card base)
- Cut 8 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ (tent card)
- Cut 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ (Scalloped Circle)
- Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper – Cut 3″ x 4″ and a strip cut 3″ x 1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock
- Cut 5 1/4″ x 5″
- Cut 3″ x 4″
- Cut 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ (Circle)
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Polished Pink, and Just Jade
- 3/8″ Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon (about 12″)
- Adhesive: Stampin’ Seal of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine
