In my last blog post I mentioned that I needed to share some of the cards that I have made with the Hydrangea Suite of products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I bought this stamp set back in February, so it’s about time I used it! Maybe I was waiting for spring…..
The paper – Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper has quite a few patterns and lovely soft colors, but for some reason I keep gravitating toward the purples. I also used a little bit of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate too….again in purple…Highland Heather to be exact. . I placed the acetate sheet on a piece of Basic White cardstock because I wanted the pattern on the acetate to really show through and it looked a little dark when it was directly on the Gorgeous Grape cardstock mat.
The Hydrangea flower is from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it in with Highland Heather, Purple Posy and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers. I then die cut it with the coordinating Hydrangea Dies.
You can see the details better in this photo
It doesn’t show well in this photo, but this piece of acetate is Highland Heather and has a shiny finish and really looks quite elegant in person. I tilted the card towards the light and you can see at the bottom how it is reflecting the light.
If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies you will need:
- Hydrangea Haven Bundle (Hydrangea Haven and Hydrangea Dies)
- Rectangle Stitched Dies (optional)
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock

And put something on the inside of your card too! I added a 1/2″ strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside of mine. I intentionally leave the inside blank most of the time and then stamp something and of course write something when I am ready to send it off. That way I can choose just the right sentiment for the occasion.
Happy Stamping!
Patricia
P.S. I am not sure how many times I typed the word Hydrangea in this post, but I can now spell it right on the first try!
