2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog (Holiday), Seasonal - Winter, Snowflake Splendor

Snowflake Splendor Slimline

In the past week I showed you three slimline cards.  I thought I was done….but I was wrong….I have one more to share with you.  This card is a little more elegant with the silver accents and softer shades of Pool Party color. This card was made using several of the items in the Snowflake Splendor Suite of products – The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, the Snowflake Wishes Bundle, which includes the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the So Many Snowflake Dies, and the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. And I added a little bit of silver accents with the Silver Foil paper and the Whisper White Metallic Edged Ribbon….and a few snowflakes too! This card goes together really fast.  It’s just a matter of a few layers along with the help of dimensionals to adhere the sentiment tag and snowflakes plus glue dots to layer the two snowflakes. If you’d like to make this card, these are the supplies you will need:
  • Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set
  • Dies: So Many Snowflake Dies and Tasteful Labels Dies
  • Winter Snow Embossing Folder
  • Pool Party Cardstock – Cut 8” x 7 1/2”, Score on the SHORT side and fold at 3 3/4”
  • Silver Foil Paper – Cut 7 3/4” x 3 1/2” , plus scraps for 2 snowflakes
  • Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 7 1/2” x 3 1/4”
  • Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 1/4” x 3 1/4”
  • Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper – scraps for 2 snowflakes
  • Pool Party Ink
  • Whisper White Metallic Edged Ribbon
  • Adhesive: Stampin’ Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots and Dimensionals
  • Tools: Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Paper Snips
And now all that is left is to stamp the inside to make it as pretty as the outside! And if you missed the other slimline cards I posted last week, you can check them out here: Slimline Snowman Season and here: Slimline Christmas Gleaming Ornament Card and here: A Merry Hello Slimline Card Did you wonder about the envelopes I showed in the pictures?  Stampin’ Up! does not sell an envelope that fits a slimline card and while you can use a regular #10 size envelope, I decided to make my own using matching Designer Series Paper or Cardstock. If you would like to make your own envelopes, here are some quick and easy directions: Follow this diagram and then the instructions below Slimline Envelope
  • Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper – Cut 9″ x 10 1/2″
    • Score on the SHORT side at 2 3/8″ and  6 1/2″
    • Turn Counter-clockwise and score on the LONG side at 1 1/2″ and 9 3/4″
  • Cut off the four corner small rectangles (marked above)
  • Round the corners of the top and bottom flaps (Fold in the sides to make it easier)
  • Place Tear & Tape along the left side and fold both side flaps toward the center to adhere together
  • Place Tear and Tape along the bottom flap, then fold up and adhere
  • Place Treat & Tape along the top edge.  DO NOT ADHERE until you have your card signed, put inside and ready to mail!)
  • Optional Closures
    • Use Velcro 3/4″ dots on the top flap to secure to envelope
    • Use a 3/4″ Circle punch and punch two circles from Gold or Silver Foil Paper.  Use 2 small brads (one on the top flap, one on the envelope and wrap a piece of twine or metallic cord around to close.
Happy Stamping! Patricia
