2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog (Holiday), General Cards, Seasonal - Winter

The Gift of Cards – Poinsettias

If you are in need of a quick and easy gift….look no further than the Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper  White Notecards and Envelopes.  You can whip up a bunch of cards in a flash with these the Poinsettia Dies and the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. Put them all together and you can create these! The Poinsettia Dies have two pieces….the outside that cuts the shape and the inside that embosses and adds the tiny details like veins on the leaves and texture to the flower petals.  You can see it better here. And to make things even simpler, the two pieces nest inside each other so one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine cuts and embosses at the same time! If you want to make smaller flowers like the one above, cut two of the smallest petal die and offset them when attaching to the card.  The die set doesn’t have small leaves, so you can make your own by cutting the small petals out of Shaded Spruce Cardstock and then cutting away the “petals” that you don’t need so you are left with a few small “leaves” that you can attach to the back of your flower before adhere to the card front. The two cards above are made by combining the middle size petals and a few of the leaves.  The flower centers are Gold Glitter Enamel Dots from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I looped a bit of the Gold Cord from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog If you would like to make these cards, these are the supplies you will need:
