Thanksgiving is just two days away and that means that it’s almost time to decorate for Christmas. Since I’m not quite ready to do that, I’m going to Deck the Halls with this card instead.
I really like the angle design of this card. To make the angle, I first measured up 1 1/2” from the bottom left corner of the Shaded Spruce Cardstock and made a small mark. Then I measured down 1 1/4” from the top right corner and made a mark. I used those marks to align the paper in the Paper Trimmer to cut the angle.
I embossed the Shaded Spruce Cardstock with the Holly Embossing folder which is retired, but you could easily substitute the Swirls & Curls Embossing folder to give the paper some texture. After cutting the cardstock, I layered it on top of the piece of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper and covered up the seam with a piece of pretty ribbon and then added a few holly leaves and Rhinestone Gems.
If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies you need:
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”; Score and fold at 5 1/2”
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4” , plus a scrap for holly leaves
