There were rumors last week that an arctic blast of weather was coming through and that it would snow tomorrow. It’s highly unusual in Virginia Beach where I live, but I’m always hopeful as there is nothing quite so beautiful as new fallen snow. So here is my tribute….
The stamp set Snowman Season is just the ticket when you want to get in a bit of snow fun. Those snowmen are certainly happy little fellows!
I also used the Let it Snow Designer Series Paper. I love the combination of Real Red and Coastal Cabana together. There are lots of fun patterns to choose from and several have touches of raised “glimmer” to make it feel extra special.
I stamped my snowman in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then did a little bit of coloring with my Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker to give a little highlight to my snowman. And then colored his scarf and hat in Real Red and Bermuda Bay Light. I also gave the little tree a once over with Shaded Spruce to make it look more like a tiny Christmas tree.
The bow is one of the new “ribbons” in the 2019 Holiday Catalog and is called Real Red Curly ribbon although it looks a little more like thick yarn. It does tend to unravel a bit at the ends, so just tie a little knot on the ends. It does make a festive card!
