2019 Holiday Catalog, Seasonal - Winter

Quick and Easy – Wrapped in Plaid

Quick and easy….that’s my motto these days.  With the busy holiday season is coming up  in the wink of an eye, you need quick and easy projects and cards so you can have plenty of time to sit back and relax and look at the 2019-2020 Annual catalog so you can make your Wish List for Santa!

So here is today’s card:

  • 3796A439-EC9B-4FB2-A0A9-9D73D792697E

All you need is the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper, a Piece of Matching Cardstock  and a little ink to stamp your Sentiment.  Add a little ribbon and bow to give it a finishing touch and you’re done!

Oh and I almost forgot the most important part….the Pine Tree Punch that coordinates with the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set!  The tree is not a stamped image, but a tree punched out of the top layer of Whisper White cardstock so the paper behind “decorates” the tree!  How simple is that?

I went with a Red and White theme, but this card can be done with just about every design in the Wrapped with Plaid Designer Series Paper.  If you want your tree to look more realistic…then choose one of the green plaid papers and use Shaded Spruce Cardstock for your card base.

If you would like to make this card, this is what you will need:

  • Perfectly Plaid Bundle (Perfectly PlaidStamp Set & Pine Tree Punch)
  • Cup of Christmas Stamp Set
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock- Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”; Score and fold at 4 1/4”
  • Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”
  • Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper – Cut 5” x 3 3/4” – Punch one tree out of the right side to use on the inside of the card.
  • Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 4 3/4” x 3 1/2” – Punch one tree out of the left side.
  • Cherry Cobbler Ink
  • 3/8” Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Striped Ribbon
  • Snail Adhesive or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Tear & Tape and Glue Dots

You might have noticed in the directions above that you need to punch a Pine tree out of the Designer Series Paper on the right hand side.  Where you punched gets hidden by the Whisper White Cardstock on the front.  But where did that tree go?  To the inside of the card of course!

It’s just a simple way to get a little more out of your supplies!  Hope you try it on your next card!

Happy Stamping!
