Cheers! Yes, it’s time to celebrate. This is my 200th blog post! I should have hit this number a few weeks ago, but I’ve been super busy lately and my blog has gone on the back burner…..but I think I’m just about caught up on everything, so keeping my fingers crossed I can get back to my regular blogging schedule.
So let’s have a cup of holiday cheer together to celebrate!
This card was made using the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set. What makes this stamp set unique is that the cup stamps are double sided! Yes, you can stamp on both sides! What that means is that your cup can have a handle on either the left side….or the right side. Plus there are lots of little decorative stamps to make your coffee mugs pretty!
So in keeping with my red & white theme, I went with these little sprays of leaves to decorate my mugs.
The Cup of Christmas Stamp Set also has a set of matching dies….which means you don’t have to fussy cut anything out! And you get a die for each direction of your cup handle. There is also two small dies that are just perfect to use for the end of your pretend (and invisible because it is in the cup) teabag.
Did you notice the string tied to the teabag tags? I didn’t have any Cherry Cobbler Twine, so I made my own with these: Whisper White Cotton Twine and a Cherry Cobbler Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker. Just cut a piece of white twine and tape down one end onto a piece of the paper. I used the grid paper that I cover my Stampin’ mat with. Hold onto the other end and run the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends over the twine until it’s completely covered. You might need to twist or roll it a little to make sure you’ve got all the sides covers. Give it a minute to make sure it’s all dry before your attach it to your tag. I used a 1//8” hold punch to make a small hole and tied my twine in a knot. I used a glue dot to hold the string onto the back of the tag so the ends wouldn’t show, left it a little loose so it would look more realistic, and then attached the tag to the side of the mug to keep it in place.
And….I added a whole row of those leaf sprays on the inside of my card all along the top. The sentiment comes from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set.
If you’d like to make this card, this is what you’ll need:
- Cup of Christmas Stamp Set
- Cup of Cheers Dies
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock – Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”; Score and fold at 4 1/4”
- Cherry Cobble Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”, plus scraps for 2 tags
- Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper – Cut 5” x 3 3/4”

So take some time to celebrate today. Relax, grab a cup of tea and then make two more to put on the front of a card! And leave a comment and tell answer this question: When you are having a cup of tea (or coffee), which side is your handle on?….the left or the right?
Happy Stamping!

THE NEW PAPER TRIMMER IS HERE!
It slices, it dices….well maybe just cuts & scores! We’ve been waiting for months for the new Paper Trimmer to appear. Demonstrators have had the opportunity to order it in October, so I was able to get my hands on one and try it out. There are a couple new features that will make your cutting experience a success.
- The side are when extended is flush with the edge of the main trimmer…meaning there is no gap between the main cutting surface and the extended arm. This makes reading the measurements much easier.
- The measuring arm goes all the way out to 17” instead of 14”
- There is an extended grid area which measures out to 1 1/2” to the right of the cutting blade arm which makes cutting small thin pieces even easier
