Christmas, General Cards, Seasonal - Winter, Stampin' Up!

Mrs. Claus Dreams of Snow!

When I first saw the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series paper with the whimsical elves and Santa & Mrs. Claus….I wasn’t really enamored.  I don’t have small children anymore…my two daughters are long past the wonder of Santa Claus, Mrs. Clause and his elves.  But I purchased it anyway because it was the only “fun” looking set in the 2018 Holiday catalog.  And I’m so glad I did.  And I went a little overboard making all the Christmas characters that I still have some that need to be put onto cards!

You can see some of the past cards like this one: Santa Claus is Coming to Town or this one: A Pile of Presents and this one: My List is Long.

And I even had a A Wish for Snow  But that hasn’t happened yet….if we get any snow here in southeastern Virginia, it usually doesn’t happen until January or February.  But I saw an alert on the weather that we could possible have some snow showers!  Probably won’t happen but that doesn’t mean I can’t enlist the help of Mrs. Claus for a little pre-Christmas snow magic.

See she even has her eyes closed like she is concentrating really, really hard on her wish.

It is snowing on the outside of the card….with the help of the Softly Falling Embossing Folder, and a few big flakes just happen to have made it onto the inside of the card too!

If you’d like to make this card, this is what you’ll need:

  • Signs of Santa Stamp Set
  • Santa’s Signpost Framelit Dies
  • Coastal Cabana Cardstock – Cut 5 ½” x 8 ½” ; Score at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 ¼” x 4” Emboss with Softly Falling Embossing Folder
  • Coastal Cabana – Stitched Shapes Square (2 ⅛”)
  • Whisper White Cardstock – Scraps for the following: Stitched Shapes Circle (1 ⅞”) and Oval (2 ¼”), plus 2 small snowflakes and Mrs. Claus
  • Stampin’ Blends – Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce
  • Ink: Coastal Cabana
  • Ribbon- (Non SU) – Sheer Ribbon that I purchased at Michael’s.
  • Inside – Whisper White Cardstock – 5 ¼” x 4” and three snowflakes (1 large, 2 med)

Do you wish for snow too???

Happy Stamping!
Patricia
