HInt: Make sure you read all the way to the bottom for a special event & offer!
Last week I posted about Channeling My Christmas Spirit. I did that with a few friends who came to my first Countdown to Christmas event last Friday. I was a bit nervous because I’ve never had a group make so many cards at one time (9 cards plus 9 gift tags). I made 3 sample cards and matching gift tags using the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set and Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper.
I had planned today to share the card that I had hinted at with this picture. But you’re going to have to wait a few days because after I saw their cards, I wanted to share one of the other cards first.
As you know every card that we create is just our creation…or something we CASE’d (Copy And Share Everywhere). Sometimes we “case” almost exactly, sometime we case the basic design but use different colors of paper, stamps and ink and sometime we “case” but with our own twist….either on purpose or to cover up a mistake. This is one of those cards. Here is my sample: (along with the matching gift tag)
This is the card my friend Karen created: (excuse the bad lighting, but it was nighttime and not the best lights in the room). Isn’t it beautiful? Similar to mine, but still different.
And this is the card that Terri created. She said it looked different because she made a mistake….but I don’t think it’s a mistake….it’s just a different way of being creative, but with a “softer look”. I love them both and I think that whoever is the recipient of their cards will love them too!
I don’t expect to have exact replica’s of the samples….in fact if I made several, they’d all be different too! It’s great to see the creativity that comes from doing something fun!
You can see that they were hard at work. They made 9 cards (3 each of 3 different designs), plus 9 gift tags (3 each to match each of the cards). So it was a lot to accomplish in 2 1/2 hours….but they did it!
The best part of the night? Seeing the helpful spirit of sharing the stamps, ink and punches and even helping punch out “sprigs” and adhere glue dots for one that works a little slower…..but together they got it all done!
