I’m back with another card using the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper, but I’m not using the stamp set that is a part of that Suite of products. Today’s card features theBotanical Layers Stamp Set.
The plants in this stamp set. especially the spotted looking fern in the middle reminded me of plants in an aquarium, so I made a little “window” card to showcase the plants.
I stamped all the plant images in Starry Sky ink and then because this stamp set does not have a matching die set, I got out my Paper Snips and did a little bit of fussy cutting. To make the top layer window piece, I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ from both the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and Basic White Cardstock and then adhered them together. I then used the largest Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies and die cut a square centering it on the upper top of the piece. That left enough room spot at the bottom for my sentiment. 
I added the Basic White Cardstock to the back of the front layer as I wanted to add a little weight to the top as I used Dimensionals to adhere this piece to the card front and it just makes that piece a little sturdier. I did tie a piece of the new 1/8″ 2022-2024 In Color Metallic Ribbon around the piece before I adhered it. With the “frame” in place it was easy to add the stamped plants pieces by tucking them behind the frame. The bottom plant is adhered directly to the card front and the other two plants are adhered with dimensionals.
Then I stamped my sentiment and die cut that using the Rectangle Stitched dies (I love the added details of the stitching) and adhered that to a scrap of Starry Sky cardstock and the card was finished.
except for the inside and the envelope flap that is!

- Botanical Layers Stamp Set
- Stylish Shapes Dies and Rectangle Stitched Dies
- Basic White Thick Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″; Score and fold at 5 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock – Cut two pieces 4″ x 5 1/4″, plus a piece 2″ x 1 1/2″ (die cut for sentiment) and scraps to stamp the leaves
- Sun Prints Designer Series Paper – Cut 4″ x 5 1/4″, plus a strip 4″ x 1/4″
- Ink: Starry Sky
- 2022-2024 In Color 1/8″ Metallic Ribbon (Starry Sky)
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
