And these are the two cards we made:
This is a card design that I CAS’d from a fellow demonstrator, Connie Stewart. I kept the basic card design, but changed up the stamp sets, cardstock and Designer Series Paper.
The two card bases are cut from one piece of 8 1/2” x 11” piece of Night of Navy cardstock. First score the piece of cardstock on the short side at 4 1 /4” and then cut in half on the long side at 5 1/2”, so you have two pieces that are 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”. For the card on the left, cut 1/2” off the right side of the card front.
For the card on the right, open the card and score on the long side at 1 1/2”. That will give you a little flap that you fold back.
The Designer Series Paper for both cards is a 6” x 6” piece of the ones Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper designs and the coordinating stamps are from the Berry Blessings Stamp set. Both of these are part of Stampin’ Up’s SALE-a-bration. You can get both the Stamp set and the paper pack for FREE with a $100 purchase!
If you would like to make these cards, you will need this cutting diagram for how to cut your piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. (Hint: Cut the 1/4″ and 1/2″ strips off the bottom first!)
The stamp set is so much fun to work with. It has 2 step stamps – meaning that one stamp will stamp the outline and the other will stamp the “color”. Like these leaves and blueberries. When you look at the stamp set you will see two leaf stamps and two blueberry (as well as some blackberries/raspberries. You can also see a little bit a texture in the stamps too.
And you will need these additional supplies and cardstock pieces to finish your cards:
- Berry Blessings Stamp Set
- Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper – Cut 6″ x 6″ (follow cutting diagram above)
- Night of Navy Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 11″ Cut as follows:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – Score and fold at 4 1/4″ – then cut 1/2″ off the right side of the front panel
- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ – Score at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/4″ and fold in a “z” pattern
- Also cut a separate piece 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″
- Basic White Cardstock
- Cut 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
- Cut two pieces 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
- Cut 2″ x 3 1/4″
- Granny Apple Green Cardstock – Cut 3″ x 3 3/4″
- Ink: Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green
- Ribbon – Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo – Night of Navy 1/8″ Ribbon
- Adhesive: Stampin’ Seal, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips
