Whale of a Time – Stamp or Punch?

I have had a “Whale of a Time“ for the past two days….and it’s all because of one of the new Designer Series Papers that is in the 2020-21 Annual Catalog that came out in June.I decided to feature this paper (and the coordinating Whale Done Stamp Set and Whale Builder Punch in my monthly Card & Chat class.

Today, I am sharing one of the cards from my class:

Wondering why there are two cards?  When the COVID-19 Pandemic began back in March, I started offering my classes on Zoom.  As things have opened up a little, I started having small In-Person classes again.  But I have several who aren’t ready for that as well as some out of state friends who also craft with me.  So….my In-Person classes stamped the whales and used the punch to “cut” them out.  My Zoom class – because not all of them own the stamp set or the punch….they fussy cut the whales straight from the Designer Series Paper.

As you can see, some of the sheets of paper from the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper has some life-like underwater scenes this this paper.  It makes card making so quick and easy!  All you need is a great sentiment and you have an instant anniversary card.

If you would like to try this card this is what you will need:

  • Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper
  • Whale Done Stamp Set
  • Seaside Embossing Folder (retired)
  • Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 3/4” x 3 3/4”, and optional – Fussy cut two whales
