The new 2020-21 Annual Catalog went live yesterday! As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I’ve been able to order select products from the catalog since the beginning of May. But I wanted to keep using some of my favorite stamps that were retiring. So today is the first day that I am sharing a card made with one of the new stamp sets – Jar of Flowers.

There stamp set includes four different flower bunches, two different size jars that are reversible stamps!), plus flower stems and straws and even a jar lid.

There are several ways that you can color the flower bunches….watercolor pencils, aquapainters & ink, or my choice today….Stampin’ Blends Markers. These markers are alcohol based and are so easy to use as you can blend the colors without having what I call “marker lines” that you get with traditional markers. I chose to make my jar “not clear”….so I didn’t stamp any stems in the “water”. (But truth be told….I am horrible with remembering to water flowers and plants, so if this jar was clear…it would look empty!).

I also decided to add a little texture to the base card….by using the new Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder for the front of the card. It’s a little hard to see….but adding the texture to the card and using dimensionals to adhere the Designer Series Paper adds interest to the card. You can really see the texture in the first card photo….scroll back and see!

If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies that you will need:
- Jar of Flowers Stamp Set
- Lovely You Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Layering Ovals Dies
- Stitched Shapes Dies (optional(
- Rectangle Stitched Dies (optional)

And don’t forget to do a little decorating on the inside of your card too! This is a great way to use up some of your scrap strips.
Happy Stamping,
Patricia
