Mix it Up Monday – I’ve Got the Monday Blues

It’s a May Mixed up Monotone Monday Morning! Phew! Glad I got that out!  I am not feeling blue….but the card I made is!  Blue is one one my favorite colors and I’ve done cards that are monochromatic before, in fact it was almost exactly a year ago.  You can see one here in this post Monotone Monday – Petals & More.  For this card I used a piece of retired Needlepoint Designer Series Paper with the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.

Who said poppies had to be red?  To me this looks like a field of wild flowers.  This card is super easy….just one stamp and a little bit of coloring with the Stampin’ Blends Light & Dark Balmy Blue Markers.  Throw a few layers of cardstock on for matting and you are done.  And check out that pretty envelope too!
