In yesterday’s post I showed you cards that you could make using the March Paper Pumpkin kit called No Matter the Weather. You can see that post here: No Matter the Weather – Paper Pumpkin. If you remember I showed you the extra stamp set that came with the Paper Pumpkin kit, but I didn’t show you any cards making it….well that is going to change quick because here are two of them.
The card on the right is almost monochromatic….but I did add a little pop of Pineapple Punch Cardstock to make it more cheery. And I stamped the clouds in blue…I just love them. And how about those boots? Makes me wish I could go out and buy some just like them! It’s been raining here for two days and we have a HUGE puddle at the bottom of the steps by our front door. I could go splash around in that if I had those boots!
We also have bunnies in our yard. We’ve seen them for years. I have no idea where they live, but they love to munch on the grass that is right next to our driveway. When we come home at night, our car headlights always catch them. They used to freeze….and then run off, but the last few years they have gotten brave and just keep munching. The little bunny stamp reminded me of them.
I did a reverse stamp technique to get them to look like they were facing each other. I inked up my stamp and then stamped the image on one of the Stampin’ Up!’s Silicone Sheets. I place a piece of Whisper White Cardstock over the top and carefully gave it a little rub to transfer the image. I then fussy cut both of the bunnies so I could pop them up with Stampin’ DImensionals to make it look they are are ready to hop off the page.
If you’d like to make either of these cards, here is what you will need:
BOOT CARD
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock – Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”; Score and fold at 4 1/4”
- Blueberry Bushel Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”, plus a piece for the background circle.
- Pineapple Punch Cardstock – Cut 4 3/4” x 3 1/2”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 4 1/2” x 3 1/4”, plus scraps for the boots and the stitched circle (or use one of the circles from the kit and a piece cut 5 1/4” x 4” for the inside
- 1/8” Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain ribbon
- Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Dark Blends Marker (for the boot soles and tags)
BUNNY CARD
- Granny Apple Green Cardstock – Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” ; Score and fold at 4 1/4”
- Best Dressed Designer Series Paper – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 4 1/2” x 3 1/4”, plus a scrap for two bunnies and a piece cut 5 1/4” x 4” (for inside)
- Tag from the Paper Pumpkin kit
- Ink: Granny Apple Green, Basic Gray, Tuxedo Black Memento and Petal Pink
- Stampin Blends Markers – Granite Gray Light and Dark and Petal Pink
- 1/2” Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon
- Adhesive: Glue dots and Stampin Dimensionals, (included in kit), plus Snail or Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Also in yesterday’s post I made a few cards using the front of the notecards from the kits. Because these cards are bigger than the notecard size, I have extra envelopes.
