Happy Valentine’s Day! In my blog post on Monday, I used a piece of leftover cardstock that I had used the Buffalo Check Stamp Set on….stamping in Real Red Ink. You can see that post here: Meant to Be on Mixed Up Monday. Now I am obsessed with red, black and white. So I still had a few more pieces left and this is what happened when I started playing around with different ideas:
The perfect valentine to give my husband. It’s not too frilly…even though it does have a bow, but it looks a little more manly due to the colors. We don’t usually celebrate Valentines Day….maybe because our anniversary is Feb 4th, or maybe it’s because during his time in the US Navy, he was usually deployed or out doing training work-ups almost every year, so he wasn’t home. And the sentiment is short, sweet and to the point….no need for flowery verses.
But I did leave plenty of room on the inside to write a more personal note. I think I used up my last piece of already stamped cardstock for the little border on the inside.
If you’d like to make this card, these are the supplies you will need:
- Buffalo Check Stamp Set
- Forever Blossoms Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
- Basic Black Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”, Score and fold at 5 1/2”, and another piece cut 2 1/2” x 3 1/2”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4” (embossed)
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 3 1/4” x 4 1/4” and a piece cut 2” x 3”
- Basic Black Scalloped Edged Ribbon
- Adhesive: Snail or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and Glue Dots
