Welcome to another Mixed Up Monday. Today I am sharing some alternative ideas for using your January 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit called I’ll Bee Yours. If you don’t know what Paper Pumpkin is you can check out this post from a year ago….Valentines – Paper Pumpkin Style. So it’s a year later and I’ve got another Valentine set to share that I also combined with the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper that is in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog.
But first, you need to see the Paper Pumpkin kit that inspired the card:
This kit includes materials to make 10 small cards with envelopes and 20 small treat bags! That’s a total of 30 things you can make from this kit! That’s a whole lot of happiness in one box! You don’t need to buy or have anything extra, everything is included….cards & envelopes, ink, embellishments, tags, bags, hearts, and even glue dots! You can see two examples…one card and one envelope in the picture above.
I host a Paper Pumpkin Party each month (or try to!), where whoever is able brings their kit (or I share part of mine) and we make the projects following the directions, but you don’t always have to do that, you can also improvise and make something a little bit different. The “I’ll Bee Yours” Paper Pumpkin kit was designed to coordinate with two new stamp
Or this one made by my friend Lisa….she used a different sentiment and heart stamp and added a few extra hearts to her card and one of the sequins. That’s one of the things that makes getting together with friends to stamp so much fun…to see what someone else will do with the same supplies.
I also provide a few extra ideas for making other full size cards. The first one uses the same flowery background stamp and one of the hearts with the same pattern on it from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. I also punched out a scalloped heart using one of the new punches from the 2020 Mini Catalog for a little extra dimension.
And now it’s not a Valentine anymore…now it’s a Love Note! Here is the same card design, but using one of the Rococo Rose Hearts and a different color layout.
And I also used the same background stamp on the front to add a little edge to the inside.
But all this and I still haven’t shown you the card that is the Mixed Up Monday card….Here is it.
Not a traditional Valentine, but maybe more of a card to let someone know they are loved.
