Let’s spread some fun birthday cheer! What’s the best part of having a birthday? Besides eating cake….it would be the presents! Everyone likes to get presents. So it’s only fitting that presents are featured on my card today.
I used the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (DSP) again….I actually think I have some wrapping paper in my stash that has stripes like that! And I also used the Birthday Cheer Stamp set for this fun present stamp, as well as the sentiment. I did have to fussy cut them out, but it’s fairly fast and simple because presents are boxes which means there are lots of straight lines…and the bow if easy to cut out too.
A little tip when fussy cutting….leave a little bit of an edge around the outside. If you try and cut right on the black stamping line, you might accidentally cut the line off. Leaving that little bit of white, also lets the image pop out a little bit more.
I colored my presents with Stampin’ Blends Markers in a variety of colors that matched the stripes in the How Sweet It Is DSP. – Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight. The middle present is adhered flat on the card and the two on either side are popped up on dimensionals.
I added a stitched rectangle cut from Whisper White Cardstock and then cut a Stitched frame from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock by using two frames one just inside the other and cutting at the same time. The Whisper White Stitched Rectangle is cut from the same Framelit as the one used for the inside of the frame.
The Whisper White Stitched Rectangle is cut from the smaller of the two Framelits. You can see that it fit’s just right inside the Gorgeous Grape frame. And now you also have a bonus rectangle to save for another project!
If you don’t have the Rectangle Stitched Framelits….meaning you haven’t purchased them yet….you can always cut rectangles using your Stampin’ Trimmer and layer then one on top of the other. I’ve included those measurements below.
If you’d like to make this card, this is what you’ll need:
