This post is for those of you who thought that all you could do with stamps, paper and inks was make cards….so not true! There are so many different things that you can do and this week I’m going to share with you just a few fun creative projects. Although I call my Stampin’ Up! business Pat’s Card Corner, I do more than just make greeting cards. I also make all kinds of treat boxes & bags, and tags. I’ve posted about a few of these that were mostly holiday themes, like Valentine Treats and Stocking Stuffers, but everyday occasions also are a great time to use your crafting skills. This past week I made these tags for a Baby Shower.
One of my daughter’s friends was helping to host a baby shower and wanted some tags similar to those she had seen on Pinterest….because where do you go when you are looking for ideas?….Pinterest of course. The Baby Shower had an animal theme and green and gold colors, so I came up with this design.
I did use my computer for the wording…..all except for the word “P o p s” . I used my HP 4650 Printer to print them onto a sheet of Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Layering Circles Framelit Dies to cut them out. Using this same set of dies, I also cut a Scalloped Circle from a Gold Foil sheet and another slightly larger circle from Old Olive Cardstock.
The Animal Outing Stamp set has a perfect stamp for the leaves. I just had to make sure I just used the ends of the branch….and not the part with the frog on it! I then used the Old Olive Light Stampin’ Blends marker to give them a little color.
The last part was the most fun….I heat embossed the work “P o p s” using Gold Embossing Powder. (For a little lesson on how to heat emboss, see Animal Outing Thank You for a few simple directions) These letters come from the Make A Difference Stamp Set….it’s a whole alphabet with small and large letters so you can make any word or words you want! And there are a few phrases to stamp on the back of your projects so you can give yourself a little credit!
Don’t you just love how the gold embossing makes the word all gold and shiny to match the mini champagne bottles? It’s the little things that can really take something from “nice” to “Oh Wow!”.
And don’t forget to add some shiny gold ribbon to tie the tags around the bottles. What a pretty display and everyone had a fun favor to take home!

- Snail Adhesive
- A small hole punch
