When life gets busy and you feel like your caught in a whirlwind….it’s time to just take a deep breath and sit back and relax and enjoy the simple moments. For me that’s lunch with a friend or some quiet time stamping, a movie date with my husband,….just not planning and filling every waking moment. This card is a reminder of what to do….
And you know how I like to put something on the inside of my card, so I masked off the bird that is sitting on the tusk of the cute little rhino with a post-it note and just inked it up and then stamped him right into the corner on the inside of my card and gave him a little color.
I did use several Framelits dies to cut several of the pieces on my card, the Rectangle Stitched Framelits for background Designer Series Paper and the sentiments and Stitched Shapes for the Square the rhino is stamped on. I just like the stitched detail, but you can also just cut your papers the sizes that are listed below….and that would make your card even simpler!
So a simple card for a simple moment.
If you’d like to make this card, this is what you’ll need:
- Animal Outing Stamp Set
- Home to Roost Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Stitched Shapes (optional) for Square
- Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies (optional) for Sentiment & background papers
- Coastal Cabana Card Stock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”; Score at 5 1/2”, plus a piece cut 3” x 3”, and a piece cut 3 1/4” x 1 1/4”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”, plus a piece cut 3” x 1” and a piece cut 5 1/4” x 4” for the inside of the card.
- How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (stripes) – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”
- Ink: Basic Gray (rhino image) and Pool Party (sentiment)
- Stampin’ Blends Markers – Coastal Cabana Light (bird), Mango Melody Dark (beak), and Pool Party Light (Grass)
- Snail Adhesive
