Valentines – Paper Pumpkin Style

If you are a casual crafter – someone who would like to make some projects, but doesn’t want to invest a lot of money, then Paper Pumpkin might be just the ticket for you!  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription paper crafting kit that brings fun right to your door!  And the contents of each kit is a surprise, so it’s like getting a present in the mail each month!  Everything you need to complete the month’s project is right in the box – a small stamp set, ink, adhesives, paper, and embellishments.

Past kits have ranged from cards, to treat bags, to small home decor items, but always fun to make.   Today, I’m sharing January’s box — which were Valentine Treat Holders.  Each kit made 24….yes 24 of these cuties…..

I didn’t need twenty-four treat holders, so I came up with a few alternate ideas for cards that I could send in the mail.  First I made a few small cards.  The base of these cards are 3” x 6” pieces of cardstock that are scored at 3” and they fit perfectly in the 3”x 3” envelopes in the annual catalog.  These would be great for putting in a small gift bag.  Or cut a 3”x 3” piece of Cardstock, punch a hole in the corner and you have a small gift tag ready to tie onto a small treat bag full of candy conversation hearts!

And of course you can always make cards that are the normal 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”.  I  made two of those normal size cards, the first one used some of the Paper Pumpkin pieces, plus some die cut hearts from the Be MIne Framelits.

The second card I used one of the stamps….the Chameleon….and used it to make a nice background.  Added a few dots around the heart using a Stampin’ Blends marker and another heart die cut from the Be Mine Framelits.
