I’ve been playing all week-end with one of my new stamps sets – Time for Tea, and the coordinating Spot of Tea Framelit Dies, and the Tea Room Designer Series Paper. I actually ordered it in May during the pre-order for the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, but just haven’t gotten around to using it yet.
It kind of jumped out at me because my husband is now more of a tea drinker. We lived in Bydgoszcz, Poland three years ago….and at his work, they had “tea breaks”, so he got hooked. Anyway, I made 8 cards!! But you’re not going to see them quite yet because it’s Monday and it’s time for a Mix-it-Up — taking something OLD (retired) and mixing it with something NEW (in the current catalog). Because I was having fun with the Time for Tea stamp set, I decided to use that as my NEW and a sheet of Naturally Eclectic Paper and two retired paper and ink colors – Peek-a-boo Peach and Soft Sky as my OLD. And because I’ve completely lost my mind….I did a One Sheet Wonder….so you’re getting 10 cards today! This is the One Sheet Wonder diagram that I used to cut my 12” x 12” piece of paper.
I found a fuzzy picture of this on Pinterest – but no credit, so if this is your design, please let me know! I redrew it on an extra piece of cardstock I had. There’s lots of chicken scratches, but they do mean something! The circled numbers are the order that I cut the paper. The letters/numbers are for which pieces go with each card….and I skipped the letter “I” because it can look line a number 1 and I didn’t want to confuse myself. The original drawing has a 1/4” cut on the left that was a “throwaway” piece, but I just kept that strip together with the one next to it to make a 1” strip.
As I cut each piece of my DSP, I laid it on top of the diagram so I wouldn’t lose track of what I was cutting. Here are the 10 cards.
Not sure if you noticed on the cards, but I used every single stamp in the set!….from the big sentiments down to the little corner accent. Woo-Hoo! It was kind of a fun challenge to make myself do that and not go searching through other stamp sets for sentiments or different flowers. Here’s a closer look at each card.
Hope you like them! I’m going to be posting the other 8 cards as soon as I can get the blog pages written, so I hope you’ll come back…..or better yet, click on the follow button in the sidebar and you’ll get an email every time I post.
