I’m back already with another Butterfly post. I told you in my last post that I had lots of butterflies and I’m busy putting them on cards. I’ve already got a pile of cards on my desk just waiting. So let’s start sharing! Here is my first card.
It’s a very simple card and so easy to make! The butterfly and flower are were cut using my Big Shot and the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies. (And just to note….there is no darker color underneath…that’s just a shadow because it’s finally a sunny day!)
I cut them both out of Soft Sky Cardstock (although in the pictures it looks like Soft Sea Foam….which would be pretty too!) and then mounted them on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I embossed with a folder called Country Foliage by Sizzix (not a Stampin’ Up product). For something similar you could use Stampin’ Up’s Climbing Vine Embossing Folder. Just for fun, I added a little flower on the inside too!
So fast and easy and you can do it too! This is what you will need:
- Soft Sky Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”; Scored at 5 1/2” and a piece 1 1/4” x 4” for banner
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 4” x 5 1/4” – Embossed using Country Foliage folder, and a piece 1 1/8” x 3 7/8” for banner
- Soft Sky Ink
- Petal Palette Stamp Set for sentiment
Hope you enjoyed today’s butterfly….check back tomorrow because I tried something new and can’t wait to share it with you!
