It’s time for another Christmas in July card! This card is made with another Easy Card Design that features lots of Designer Series Paper and a nice focal point to place your stamped design. Today’ I am sharing a Christmas version of the card that I shared in my last post. Both cards are the same Easy Card Design. You can see the card I made with the Latte Love suite of products HERE.
This card is made using the Filled with Cheer Stamp Set. This stamp set is also part of the new Online Exclusives that were just released on July. I love snowmen, so I knew that this stamp set was going to be a “must have” for me. And the fact that the snowman was melting just made it a little more appropriate for where I live. Living on the East Coast of Virginia, we typically don’t get alot of snow….I think the last snowfall here is was more than 2 years ago. When we do get snow, it’s rare that it’s even enough to make a snowman and it usually melts and is gone is a day or two.
I also used a set of Designer Series Paper that might be unexpected for a Christmas card. I used the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. One side is filled with images of oranges and lemons, but the reverse side is alot of blues with one piece lookin lik tiny stars (or in my mind imagined as snowflakes), so I choose to use that piece as well as one of the pieces that featured a small mosaic design that I also though mimicked possible snowflake shapes.
I substituted the third piece of Designer Series Paper that I used on my first card for a piece of Basic White Cardstock that I embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
I did tweak the measurements for this card as the stamped image was a tiny bit larger than the Basic White Cardstock piece of the previous card, so I added an extra 1/4″. Unless you see the cards side by side, you might not notice that this piece is slightly larger. Here they are side by side:
This card also gives you the chance to break out your Stampin’ Blends Markers to do a little coloring. You can choose your favorite colors or use the colors I chose: Real Red, Pecan Pie, Lemon Lime Twiest, Night of Navy, Basic Black and Pool Party. I use the Pool Party to highlight the snow as it gives the snow a little dimension and helps distinguish what is snow in the stamped image and what is the background of Basic White.

- Night of Navy Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, Score and fold at 5 1/2″, and Cut 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″, Cut 2 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ and Cut 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock -Cut two pieces 4″ x 5 1/4″ and Cut one piece 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
- Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper – Cut 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and Cut 4″ x 1 2/” (blue snowflakes) and Cut 2″ x 3/4″ (mosaic)
- Ink: Night of Navy, Memento Tuxedo Black
- Stampin’ Blends Markers: Real Red, Basic Black, Pecan Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party
- Opal Rounds Assortment
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
