I have another Fun Fold card for you today! I actually made this card last November. When Stampin’ Up! had the annual convention (it was virtual this year), we got a sneak peak and the chance to order the Dandy Garden Suite of products. But I waited to share this card until the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog came out so you could purchase this set (or at least put it on your Wish List!). This card looks a little bit like the Fun Fold card I shared in my last post that you can check out here: Enjoy the Moment with a Fun Fold Card! It does have belly-band like my previous card, but it has a little bit of a simpler fold.
The base cardstock is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and then scored on the LONG side at 2 1/8
and 4 1/4″. That extra score line on the front of the card lets you fold the flap over exposing the inside of the card. It forms two panels that are easily decorated with pieces from the 6″ x 6″ Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper.
This double sided paper is a wonderful mix of garden flowers plus matching fun patterns like stripes, leaves, small flowers, and yes, even dragonflies that can be punched frith out with the Dragonflies Punch. Card making made simple.
The stamp set I used is called Dragonfly Garden. There are two different dragonflies to stamp, plus flowers and several sentiments. If you purchase the Bundle which includes both the stamp set and the punch, you can save 10%!
I stamped the wildflowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I used Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. But if you don’t want to color them, there is also a stamp just for the wings. It’s that “smudgy” looking stamp above.
Did you notice what looks like a small dot on the flowers? That is one of the Ladybug Trinkets that is part of this suite of products. So cute!
One of the other products in this suite is the Dragonflies Punch. As mentioned earlier, you can punch dragonflies right from the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper, but you can also stamp and color your own and then punch them out. I added Wink of Stella to the wings of mine to give them a little gossamer sparkly effect.
The dragonfly is adhered to the belly-band to hide where the two ends overlap. And if you noticed I also did a little embossing with Whisper White Embossing Powder for my sentiment.
If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies that you will need:
Dragonfly Garden Bundle (Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and Dragonflies Punch).
Mossy Meadow Cardstock – Cut 5 ½” x 8 ½”, Score on the LONG side at 2 ⅛” and 4 ¼”
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock – Cut 1” x 11”, Score at 3” and 7 ⅜”
Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 ¼” x 4”, plus a piece 2 ½” x 2” for Dragonfly
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper – Cut 2 pieces 1 ⅞” x 5 ¼” (two different patterns)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Mossy Meadow (sentiment)
Stampin’ Blends: Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight
This is one of my favorite cards that I have made with this suite of products. Winter is not over, but this makes me ready for Spring. How about you?
Happy Stamping!
Patricia
