2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog (Holiday), General Cards, Seasonal - Fall

Beautiful Autumn….Will Be Here Soon

I am ready for some cool weather. Fall is coming….even if the only hint of fall is that the stores have started to display all their autumn decorations.  And of course I’ve been looking at the August-December Mini Catalog which is chock full of seasonal stamp sets, ribbons, embellishments and more….everything you need to make cards for Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course, Christmas. E637461C-DA4D-466F-B704-18060C28BBF6 This card is just one example.  It has all the elements for fall….the colors – Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso….and the stamps! – acorns and leaves.  The Stamp Set is called Beautiful Autumn and it coordinates “beautifully” with the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper 9AC46F94-1C64-4801-A579-254C503ABABE The three punches that come with the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set….if you purchase the bundle punch out the stamped images, but they also will also you punch out the metallic acorns and leaves in the Gilded Autumn Designer Series papers. 360E27E7-E423-44BE-833E-313720D5B4F3 When I am making cards, often times I make several versions.  I am always thinking….what if I tried this….or wonder what it would look like with different paper.   So today I’m going to show you the other two versions of this same card that I made. D5510965-12AE-485D-AE33-0417E36CC30D I used one of my  clear stamping blocks to stamp the background and then I stamped the image in Early Espresso Ink.  In the first cards I used colors that were in the striped papers – Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze.  For the first “re-make” I decided to make the background stamp and leaves more neutral. B79CD6C9-651A-4C07-9AEC-2AACFA6CB238 For the last cards, I decided that the entire card should be more neutral, so out went the piece of striped Designer Series Paper and in come a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock that I had embossed with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing folder. E94C1C79-182C-45AA-924D-A5845A6F5F1B And I also switched up the Cajun Craze twine for a piece of Linen Thread.  Now it was truly neutral.  I had a hard time deciding which card version I liked the best, so I posted a poll on my Facebook Page.  Number 3 (the all neutral card) squeaked into first place. If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies you will need to make the first card, however you can adjust the colors and paper/cardstock to make the version you like best.
