Have you made your Valentines yet? Notice I didn’t say – have you gone to your local card store (which shall remain nameless) and shelled out $7-$8 for a card. When I was much younger, we always made our own valentines to give to friends. And I see no reason to change that now. So, I’ve been making valentines all this week.
Sometimes when I really like a card, I make more than one, I just change up the colors of the cardstock, or ribbon or add an embellishment or two. Sometimes I do all three of those!
And did you notice that the cards fold different too? The Real Red card on the left folds on the left hand side, the Flirty Flamingo Card on the right folds at the top.
If you’d like to make either of these cards, this is what you will need:
- Heartfelt Stamp Set
- Heart Punch Pack
- Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder
- Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Base Card: Real Red Cardstock – Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”; Score and fold at 4 1/4”
- Base Card: Flirty Flamingo Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11: Score and fold at 5 1/2”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4” (embossed)
- From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper – Cut 2 1/2” x 4 3/4”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 3 1/4” x 4 1/4” and a piece Cut 2 1/4” x 2 1/4”
- Heart Doilies
- Ink: Flirty Flamingo or Real Red ink
- From My Heart Faceted Gems
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dots
I haven’t decided which card I like the best. What do you think? The card on the left made with Real Red Cardstock ? Or the card on the right made with Flirty Flamingo Cardstock? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Happy Stamping!
