The beach is my happy place. I can sit on the beach for hours just doing nothing but watching the waves, the people….the little sand crabs digging fast and furious. And this week I am in my happy place….enjoying a little sun and rest and relaxation in Key West, Florida. But not until after my daughter gets married today…..that’s why the chair is empty in this card….I’m not relaxing yet!
This stamp set is appropriately called Beach Happy. And it has all the things you need to relax on the beach…an umbrella for shade, a comfy chair, a hat, and a bag to carry your beach essentials….like sun screen! Just need a little cooler with drinks!
This is another Simple Stamping card….just paper and ink. No coloring is needed because the stamp set comes with stamps that will “fill in” the colors….like the umbrella, the hat, the stripes on the chair and the neat little basket-weave on the beach tote.
If you’d like to make this easy card, this is what you’ll need:
- Beach Happy Stamp Set
- 1” circle punch
- Grapefruit Grove Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11” ; Scored at 5 1/2”, plus a scrap for the circle
- Whisper White Cardstock – 2 pieces cut 5 1/4” x 4” (one for outside, one for inside), plus a scrap for the circle
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana and Grapefruit Grove
- Paper Snips (for fussy cutting the hat and beach tote
- Snail Adhesive
- Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
And like always….don’t forget to put a little something inside!
