Earlier this week I posted about my simple wreath card and the Wishing You Well Stamp set. You can see that post HERE. But I still wasn’t done making cards with this stamp set. I was using it for a card class, so I was looking at all the different possibilities….read that “seasons” to use the card. Here is the stamp set…..and a close up of one of the stamps that is a bundle of…..what? Flowers, wheat, leaves & berries? Not sure exactly the name of the Bundle of foliage, but I can tell you that it will look good with a variety of cards!
To make a more “fall look”, I used Crushed Curry ink to stamp the image and paired it with some of the Country Home Designer Series Paper and some blackberry bliss cardstock and you have a great little “Just a Note” card.
And I don’t like to leave the inside of my card blank too often….so this time I just did a little extra stamping in the corner.
There are several “berry looking” images in the stamped image. I actually saw this on someone else’s card and decided it would look good on this card too. I used a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends marker and just using the thin tip, I just lightly put a little dot of ink on those berry images. Just gives it a little “pop” of color. And you might have noticed that I colored in the leaves with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker too. If you look at the picture above, you’ll see that the leaves with just stamping are half the stamped in the ink color and the other half is empty or plain white.
And don’t you just love this bow? The stamps in this set are part of the special “distinctive stamps”….the shading effect and texture look is built right into the stamp, so no special talent is needed for coloring….just ink it up and stamp!
