This is the 3rd and final week for Christmas in July cards. One Easy Card Design made with an any occasion stamp set followed by cards with the same Easy Card Design but with a Christmas Theme. Today’s card features just one piece of Designer Series Paper, plus an embossed background and a circle (well, two circles for this one!)
This card was made by using the Citrus Blooms Stamps and the coordinating Designer Series Papers called Mediterranean Blooms.
I also added a little texture to the background with the Eyelet Embossing Folder, which mimics the tile backgrounds that are on the reverse side of the Designer Series paper.
The Spotlight on Nature Days are a great set of Circle dies. There are 12 different circle dies all a different size and with several different borders around the outside. So many circle possibilities
If you look back at alot of my cards, you might notice that I am a ribbon girl. I like to put ribbon my my cards. I’m trying to be better with that, but I couldn’t resist putting some on this card. I like it with just a piece of ribbon going across the “seam” line where the Designer Series Paper is layered on the embossed Basic White piece. But then I thought about adding a bough and am trying to decide which one I like better. Which one do you like. With a bow? Or without a bow?
If you’d like to give this card a try, you will need the following supplies:
- Citrus Blooms Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Spotlight on Nature Dies
- Eyelete 3D Embossing Folder
- Old Olive Cardstock – Cut 4 ¼” x 11”, Score and fold at 5 ½”
- Basic White Cardstock – Cut two pieces 4” x 5 ¼” (emboss one), Cut 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ (large circle) and 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ (small circle)
- Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper – Cut 4″ x 2 1/2″ and cut 4″ x 1/2″
- Ink: Old Olive
- Embellishment:Dots for Days
- Ribbon (Optional) – Lemon Lolly Shear Ribbon (part of Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack – Retired)
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine,
And don’t forget to add a little fun to the inside of your card….and the outside of your envelope! (You’ll need a piece of Designer Series Paper 6″ x 2 1/2″ for the envelope flap!)
