Halloween Step Panel Treat Boxes

Last week I share with you two Step Box cards….because I couldn’t think of a better way to describe them.  You can see that post here: Step Right Up…..on a Step Box Card!  But I’ve since seen them referred to as Step Panel cards, so I’m going to go with that…..although there is a little “box” at bottom, that is perfect for hiding Halloween Treats.  So I switched up my colors and papers and came up with these two Treat Boxes. All you need to do to make them into Treat Boxes is to slide a little candy into the bottom “box” portion…..or essentially hiding it under the step. A full size bag of M&M’s fits perfectly if you fold under the end of the bag.  But you can also fit 2 smaller size candy bars in there too!  I purchased these at candy bars at Dollar Tree, they come in a pack of 6 each.  I placed them inside a 3” x 6” Gusseted bag and the rolled the end of the bag and secured it with a staple.  Then I simply slip it “under the step”. It’s a perfect fit.  Obviously you can’t mail these with the candy inside like you can if it was just a card, but wouldn’t it make a nice Trick or Treat package for any children that might come by on Halloween night?  Or maybe as a nice treat for your co-workers or friends? These are easy and fun to make, so hop to it….there are only a few more days until Halloween!  These are the general supplies (and the measurements) that you will need: If you would like to see a video of how to put these cards/Treat Boxes together, click the link to see my YouTube video:  Step Panel Box Card And if you watch to the end, there are other examples of this same card layout, but with different papers.  Here they all are: Hope you’ll give these cards/boxes a try!  I’m off to make some more! Happy Stamping! Patricia
