It’s Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper Week on my blog. All this week, I’ll be sharing projects using this set of papers. It is one of the Designers Series Paper that is retiring, and is among my favorites, so I’m sad to see it go. So I’m making the most out of using it. This time I am at it again….making another set of cards using the One Sheet Wonder method. One Sheet of 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper + Cardstock, mats and tags = 10 cards!
This is a favorite One Sheet Wonder that I first used almost 2 years ago. You can find that post here: One Sheet Wonder Is Wonderful! That diagram design made 12 cards. I made a few changes in the diagram design layout and came out with these 10 cards:
The vibrant colors and patterns of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper makes this a great pack of paper to make multiple cards. You don’t need to add much to make beautiful cards, when you have these vibrant and colorful papers.
You can barely see the paper I used for the above cards…it’s the fourth one from the left. Below is the same One Sheet Wonder design, but made with a different piece of 12” x 12” paper from the same pack:
The sentiments on the cards are all from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set that is part of the coordinating suite of products. It’s one of the best stamp sets to purchase if you want maximize your spending as there are sentiments for just about every occasion: birthday, wedding, anniversary, sympathy, thank you, friendship and special occasions. This stamp set says it all.
So why did I change the design of the diagram to only make 10 cards? It was simple….I like to decorate the inside of my cards with either a little stamping or by adding a small strip of the Designer Series Paper that I used on the front. So I made that small change to the design so I could have those 10 strips of paper that I needed. This is the template I used to cut my Designer Series Paper.
I added some cardstock matting, some sentiments tags, and used a few circle punches and dies to complete my designs.

- Whisper White Thick Cardstock (card bases)
- Poppy Parade Cardstock (card bases & mats)
- Whisper White Cardstock (mats)
- Poppy Parade Ink
- 2 1/4” Circle Punch (Can substitute a die)
- 1 1/4” Circle Punch (Can substitute a die)
- Layering Circles Dies
- Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Paper Trimmer
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue

One of the fun things about One Sheet Wonder cards is that not only can you make 10 cards, but you now have 10 card designs! You can make individual cards using a favorite card layout from these 10 simple designs. You can also step them up a bit by adding ribbon and embellishments like rhinestones or pearls.
You can also change the sentiments. Need a lot of birthday cards? Just stamp them all with birthday sentiments and you’ll have 10 different cards! Need thank you cards? You’ll have 10 different cards so everyone on your list is not receiving the same one so everyone feels special.

Tonight I was looking at videos on YouTube and ran across this class. Two of my friends and I make cards for two nursing homes and an independent living center. I’m going to use your patterns for us to make some of these. They are different than some I’ve seen before. I haven’t ever lined the inside of a white card base before but think I’ll start doing that because it would make it more sturdy and in line with the front of a card that has layers. Thank you!
