I am still playing this week with the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and coordinating Hippo Dies. Let me just say that it’s been fun to see what I can do with these fun hippos. Today’s card is probably something that most everyone wants to do if they don’t have access to a pool in these hot days of summer…..fill up a tub and hop in!
And you might as well grab your snorkeling gear for a little extra fun! Here’s a quick view of the Hippest Hippo stamp set, Hippo Dies and the bright and colorful Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper that I used:
I also embossed the Basic White cardstock piece on the front of the card using the Splatter Embossing Folder because it looks like water splashes. This embossing folder is part of a pair of smaller embossing folders, they measure just 3 3/8″ x 6 1/4″ and fit in the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
The embossing folder is only 3 3/8″ wide, so it is smaller than the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock that I used, so I embossed the right side of the cardstock and covered up the portion of the cardstock that was not embossed with a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper.

- Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folders
- Highland Heather Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″; Score and fold at 5 1/2″
- Basic White Cardstock – Cut two pieces 4″ x 5 1/4″, Cut 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (die cut circle); plus Scraps for stamping hippo and sentiment
- Calypso Coral Cardstock – Scraps for scuba maks, snorkel and flowers
- Parakeet Party Cardstock – Scraps for 3 grass pieces
- Starry Sky Cardstock – Scraps for Water and splashes
- Ink: Highland Heather
- Stampin’ Blends Markers: Gray Granite and Petal Pink,
- 2021-2023 IN Color Opal Rounds
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Take Your Pick Tool, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
And don’t forget to add a little something to the inside!
