Do you like glimmer? Do you like shine? This fun card has both courtesy of the new 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper and the new 2022-2024 In Color Metallic Woven Ribbons.
I used all five of the new In-Colors – Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis. I love Slimline cards, but sometimes they are bigger than I like, so the mini Slimline card that I made is just 3 1/4″ x 6 1/4″. Not so big that it takes up too much space when you display it….because let’s face it, cards are meant to be displayed!; but small enough that it doesn’t cost extra postage to send as happy mail!
This card is fast and easy to make as making the bottles is as easy with the new VIntage Bottle Punch. It literally just takes a few seconds to punch them out of the Glimmer Paper. Then it was just a matter of lining them up on the card front and adhering with dimensionals.
Do you know what song I have running through my head whenever I look at this card? 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall. Maybe that is because I embossed the piece of Basic White Cardstock behind the bottles using the Brick Embossing Folder, so it does look a bit like a wall. Of course, you would have to go through alot of singing before you got to 5 Bottles of Beer on the wall….5 Bottles of Beer,,,,One fell down….”
If you would like to make this card, these are the supplies (and measurements) you will need:
- Bottled Happiness Bundle (Bottled Happiness Stamp Set + Vintage Bottle Punch)
- Happiness Abounds Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Brick Embossing Folder (optional)
- Basic White Thick Cardstock – Cut 6 1/2″ x 6 1/4″, Score on the LONG side at 3 1/4″
- Basic White Cardstock – Cut 2 pieces 3″ x 6″, plus cut a piece 3 1/2″ x 1/2″ (sentiment)
- 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper – scraps to punch 5 bottles, one of each color
- Ink: Starry Sky
- 2022-2024 In Color Metallic Woven Ribbons – 6″ of each color for bows
- 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots
- Adhesive: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
- Tools: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
