Nothing’s Better Than…..A Treat!

I’ve got a special treat for you today….and I really do mean a treat.  A cute way to wrap up a special treat.

Don’t you just love the sentiment?  I think….make that I know….there are many people that feel this way.   The sentiment is part of a new Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set.  And you have several choices for your “better than”…..chocolate, cookies, coffee and cocktails!f  Plus there are lots of other great sentiments too!

If you haven’t guessed already, this is what is inside my treat wrapper:

When I saw the 2020-2022 In-Color Designer Series Paper I knew that this polka dot pattern would be perfect for my candy treats.  This set of paper comes in a package of 40 6” x 6” sheets in the following colors: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Clover, Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight.

Each “wrapper” is made from one sheet of the 6” x 6” paper.  To make it easy to wrap around the candy bar, score the paper at 2 1/4”, 2 1/2”, 4 3/4” and 5”.  Fold on each score line and gave it a good crease with a bone folder.  

Flip the paper over and put a piece of Tear & Tape along the left side edge (the widest section).  Place the candy bar face done on the middle section and fold over the right side of the paper (see below).  Then remove the backing on the Tear & Tape and fold the left side over to that it meets right on the 5” score line.

Now it is time to make the tag.  I used the Stitched so Sweetly Dies and used the largest die at the top.

Once the die is cut, simply stamp the sentiments using Early Espresso Ink.  Then stamp  the chocolate outlines using Crumb Cake Ink on either side of the word Chocolate.  Flip the sentiment tag over and place dimensionals on the bag….but only in the corners of the tag and then attach to the middle of the wrapper.  to make sure the candy bar doesn’t slide out thread one end of a piece of ribbon under neath the “tag” , wrap it around and then tie in a bow on top.

As you can see, I made just a few to put into the Goodie bags for an online Bingo event this past Monday.   And the new colors are a bright and cheerful addition.

• Whisper White Cardstock  (tag)
• Ink: Early Espresso and Crumb Cake
• Adhesive: Tear & Tape and Dimensionals
• Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon (retired)
• Stitched So Sweetly Dies
• Simply Scored (or Paper Trimmer with Scoring Blade)

Give these a try!  You can use any 6” x 6” paper so you can make these treats for any occasion!
