It’s Monday….I do not want to overload your brain this early in the week, so I have a Super Simple, Easy Peasy card to share today.
This card is all about the stamping….and using different shades of green to show off these great DistINKtive stamps. The stamp set is called Forever Fern and features what else?….. but all different kinds of ferns and greenery!
The special DistINKtive stamps mean that when you are stamping the shading and color variance are built right into the stamp. These stamped images are not “flat” but have lots of dimension and shading.
Notice how the veins in the leaves are darker and how some of the leaves almost look like they are outlined and are shaded? That’s distINKtive! One simple stamp and it looks like you’ve been coloring for hours!
If you would like to make this card, this is what you will need:
- Forever Fern Stamp Set
- Pretty Peacock Cardstock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”; Score and fold at 5 1/2”
- Gold Foil Sheet – Cut 5 1/4” x 4”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”
- Ink: Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock and Garden Green
- 1/16” Gold Trim from Forever Greenery Combo Pack
- Stampin’ Seal and Glue Dots
- Paper Trimmer
For two of the stamped ferns, I used the same color ink….Garden Green. For the first one (the darker green on the right, I inked the stamp and then stamped the leaves. For the other set of leaves on the left, I inked the stamp and then stamped off on a piece of scrap paper (removing some of the ink) and then stamped the image on my card.
