I don’t know why it has taken me so long to use the Music From The Heart Stamp Set It’s only been in the catalog a few short months and I thought for sure it would be carried over into the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, so I procrastinated….but I was wrong! It will be retiring on June 2nd! So I thought instead of just making one card….let’s make a whole set! This is what I started with:
And this is what I ended up with….four coordinating cards!
I love music….and I love to sing. I think I was 5 or 6 when I was allowed to start singing in a children’s choir at the church we attended. I still remember wearing the special choir outfits. As I got older, I added school choirs and choruses. I learned to play the organ and taught myself how to play the guitar. And not just singing….I love to listen to music too. It really is good for your soul. So even though this set is retiring from the catalog, it will not be retiring from my collection. I plan to keep using this set!
When the Covid-19 virus caused us to social distance and stay home….I sent this card to my Mom. She is also a life-long singer and is probably who instilled in me the love of music, so I knew she would appreciate the little bit of humor in the sentiment.
Don’t you just love what they did with the piano stamp? I’m sure you figured it out -the piano lid is a heart. And the “love notes” are perfect for this sentiment.
This image on this card is actually two stamps – one is the treble clef sign and the other is the handle of the guitar. But stamped just right, it’s an entire guitar! Here is a little hint for you — I found that the best way to make sure everything gets lined up is to stamp the Guitar neck first and then stamp the Treble Clef, matching up the curve of the guitar with the top part of the clef sign.
And who can resist this note of thanks. I knew I could work that into the conversation somewhere.

- Cut one piece 5 ½” x 8 ½”; score and fold at 4 ¼”;
- Cut one piece 4 ¼” x 11”; Score and fold at 5 ½”
- Whisper White Cardstock –
- Cut 4 pieces 5 ¼” x 4”
- Cut 4 pieces 4⅞” x 3 ⅝”
- Cut 1 piece 2 ⅜” x 1”
- Cut 1 piece 2 ¼” x ¾”
- Cut 1 piece 1 ⅞” x ⅝”
- Cut 1 piece 1 ¾” x ⅝”
- Cut 1 piece 1 ½” x ⅞”
- Basic Black Cardstock
- Cut 4 pieces 5” x 3 ¾”
- Cut 1 piece 2 ½” x 1 ⅛”
- Cut 1 piece 2 ⅜” x ⅞”
- Cut 1 piece 2” x ¾”
- Cut 1 piece 1 ⅞” x ¾”
- Cut 1 piece 1 ⅝” x1”
- Ink: Bermuda Bay and Memento Tuxedo Black
- Stampin’ Blends – Bermuda Bay Light
- Adhesive: Snail or Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Once everything is cut, these cards are oh so simple to make. The best part is, you can make these in any color. Just choose your favorite! I chose Bermuda Bay because these cards are going to my mother and she requested “something blue”.

Guess there aren’t that many musical stampers! This is one that I plan on keeping for a long time! Those cards are going to my Mom so she can send cards to her Sweet Adeline friends.
