When you think of Valentine’s Day, what colors immediately come to mind? Ruby Red?, Pale Pink? Bright Pink? Powder Pink? Cranberry Red? Maybe a little white to go with all that red and pink? How about green? Green’s not on your Valentine radar? It wasn’t on mine either, but Soft Sea Foam Green was one of the colors that is in Stampin’ Up’s All My Love Designer Series Paper.
Most all of the papers are of the traditional red and pink variety, but I decided to make a non-traditional looking card….and picked the paper that had a little of the Soft Sea Foam.
It takes a little getting used to the Sea Foam Green…..but it kind of grows on you. Might be a good card to give to a guy because except for the bow…it’s not so frilly and girly. The hearts are stamped with a little “lined” design and you can see that even the flowery paper has a brownish background.
And of course I had to put something on the inside too….so a little strip of paper along the side with a heart will make a personal message look so much better!
If you’d like to make this card, here is what you’ll need:
- Meant to Be Stamp Set
- Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock – Cut 5 ½” x 8 ½” ; Scored at 4 ¼”
- Lovely Lipstick Cardstock – Cut 2” x 5 ½”
- All My Love Designer Series Paper – Cut 1 ¾” x 5 ½” and a piece cut ½” x 5 ¼”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 ¼” x 4”
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock – Scraps for 5 hearts
- Ink: Soft Sea Foam and Lovely Lipstick
- All My Love Ribbon – ½” Lovely Lipstick cut 6” and a piece for a bow.
- Snail Adhesive, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (for hearts) Tear ‘n Tape (for ribbon), Mini Glue Dots (for bow)
