The Holidays are over, a new year has started and if you’ve been in a store lately…..any type of store….grocery, craft store, clothing store, they are busy stocking the shelve’s with anything that has to do with Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and even Easter….which is still 3 months away. I was given a challenge last week to make a card using this layout:
I looked over my stamp sets trying to decide which one to use. And I decided to be like all the stores and give you a sneak peak at Valentine’s Day.
The hearts are from my new Valentine Stamp set, Meant to Be.
Lots of beautiful hearts and some fun sentiments that can be used for other occasions besides Valentine’s Day….like anniversaries, weddings, etc. I just used the striped one at the top and the smallest one near the bottom. But I’ll be back soon with another card using more of the hearts….plus the Be Mine Stitched Framelits that go with this stamp set. You don’t want to miss it! I also wanted to make the bottom edge look a little “fancy”, so I got out a new embossing folder that makes a lovely lace pattern.
I made sure to position my paper in the embossing folder so that the scalloped edge would be at the bottom of the card…..gives it a nice little fancy detail don’t you think?
And it wouldn’t be a Valentine’s Day card without this on the inside:

- Meant to Be Stamp Set
- Lovely Lipstick Cardstock – Cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” ; Scored at 4 1/4”. Plus three pieces cut 1 5/8” x 1 5/8’
- All My Love Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”
- Whisper White Cardstock – Cut 5 1/4” x 4” (inside of card), plus three pieces cut 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
- Ink: Lovely Lipstick
- All My Love Lovely Lipstick 1/2” ribbon
- Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (emboss the front of the card only!)
- Snail Adhesive and Mini dimensionals
It was kind of fun making this card….so I made another one using the same layout….but it looks completely different….that post is coming soon!
