A Cup of Tea with a Side of Butterflies

After posting a few weeks ago about butterflies, you were probably glad that I moved on to something else.   And I did….I moved on to Teacups, then Birds, and Pandas eating leaves among other things.   But I’m back again with a combination of both butterflies and teacups!

But did you look closely at the paper?   See the one on the bottom row?….the second from the right.  Yes siree….those are butterflies.  And in case you have bad eyesight, here’s a closer look at that paper.

Yes, there is some color variation….almost looks like a little tea staining with pinks and purples.   So of course, I couldn’t pass up the chance to play with butterflies again, so here is the card I made:

See the little butterfly?  I fussy cut that out of one of the scrap pieces of paper and put it right over top of one of the butterflies on the paper. Remember – when you are fussy cutting — using an actual pair of scissors….leave a bit of an edge around the outside…don’t cut right on the lines. Because let’s face it….it’s hard to cut on the line and if you accidentally cut the line off…you’ve got to start all over again. Cutting just outside the line gives you a little “wiggle-room” to get it right the first time! And in the case of this butterfly….if you cut on the line, you’d cut his little antennae right off!
