It’s another Mix-It-Up Monday!…..time to mix the OLD with the NEW…..retired Stampin’ Up! products (OLD) with current products (NEW). It’s been a fun challenge to see what my brain can think up. For the past few days I’ve been testing out the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and coordinating Thinlits and the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper (All NEW)
Come back later this week and you’ll see the cards I’ve been working on….by for now, it’s Panda Time! This cute set….Party Pandas (OLD)….was part of the Spring 2018 Sale-A-Bration event. These little guys are too cute to sit on a shelf….so it’s time to use them again!
I know Panda’s don’t live in the jungle….or the tropics….they live in the mountains in China.
Pandas also eat lots of bamboo and other leaves….but it just seemed right it have them hiding in these leaves and popping out to say….”Happy Birthday!”
And I also used two other OLD and NEW things! Can you guess what they are? I did a little coloring on the party hat and balloon with two Stampin’ Blends markers — Pink Pirouette (OLD) and Granny Apple Green (NEW). A gold star to you if you figured that out!
If you’d like to make this card….this is what you’ll need:
- Party Panda’s Stamp set
- Tropical Chi Stamp Set
- Tropical Thinlits Die Set
- Whisper White Thick Card Stock – Cut 4 1/4” x 11”; Score at 5 1/2”
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock – Cut 4” x 5 1/4”, scrap for “leafy square” and scalloped oval
- Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper – Cut 3 3/4” x 5” and 3” x 3” (piece behind leaves)
- Whisper White Cardstock – scraps for pandas and Stitched Oval shape
- Stamping Blends – Pink Pirouette Dark and Granny Apple Green Light
- Ink: Black Memento
